Ok you are probably wondering why I wrote this title. Yesterday at work a person that I helped take care of last Thursday died. He past away from old age but it was just so surreal to see him come out of the hospital room in a body bag. Poor guy had to sit there all morning (hospital policy states that the body needs to stay until the family can say goodbye) while they waited for the family to come from a few hours away. At least he got the best care possible before he died. I also am reassured that he is going to a better place. This is my first death out of many I am sure I will see.
Last night was touch and go for another patient as I sat next to him watching him tank as we did the necessary things to save him. Luckily the poor guy came out of it and I did not have to see another death last night. :) Thank goodness...I probably would have been a mess today if I had to witness 2 bodies in one day.
Anyway's!!! I'm off to go get the kids off the bus. Just was thinking of how grateful I am to know of our Heavenly Fathers plan and that death is not the end all to our life. We will live and be with him someday.
Update...
You know what else makes me mad.. its when we get patients in the hospital that has been mistreated or not taken well care of by a nursing home. Makes me SOOOOO mad. I have seen a few of that too. Sad. :(
