Who wants to join me?

kayaking-full

James is on a crusade to find new sports ever since the Doc told him he is banned from doing any sports that requires running.   What is a Gimp supposed to do?  HE HE.   Our next new adventure will be learning to Kayak.  He has finally convinced me that I will not lose my life by going river kayaking, even thought 2 people just died this week on the Green River via Kayaking.   Being the loving and supporting wife I am, Ms.  Kari will be learning how to kayak with this crazy man.   Remind you this is the same husband that took me to the top of the Mountain to a Double Black diamond to learn how to snowboard for the first time.  :)  This ended with me falling on him as he taught me and destroying his rotator cuff.   He ended up in the hospital having to get surgery to repair it.  My Crazy husband.  :)  So James figures I need some loving support in trying to kayak. I thought I would like to invite others to join us with taking lessons.  Do I have any volunteers?  OH please please please come suffer with me and maybe it will be fun, just maybe?  :)

Just some info about the lessons.   It is a 5 days course, first day is on lake Union, the remaining 4 are on rivers around Seattle.  I don't know how it is broken down--- once a week, twice.  James will have to find out.   He just told me it 5 days of lessons.

Swimming lessons, lacrosse scores....

SwimMarlin

We started swimming lessons for the the 3 younger kids on Tuesday. The kids are loving it . Even AJ loved being in the water. I was a little surprised that he likes it because he usually is Mr. Clingy in water but he jumped right in the water and was so happy to go in.

CJ is also doing great. He is being a trooper and not being shy will his swim class. He is my shy one in the family. He hates being singled out, put in the center of things, or anything that he feels is the center of attention. . I am glad he is doing good considering he is the only boy in his swim class. (that usually does not go over well)

Sydney is about ready to make team. As soon as she passes level 6 she will be on team. Hopefully she passes level 6 this Swims session or next, she is teetering on 5/6 level.

I took a whole bunch of pictures but they are on EJ's digital camera and so I don't have the cord to upload it. Have to find it. :)

This cartoon is funny! He is trying to string the lacrosse stick net.

Ok now onto the weekly Lacrosse update, I have to admit I love watching Lacrosse!.....

Today was a HUGE match between our rival team Issaquah Blue. They bet our team the first game we played and so it was payback.

It was a close game until the 4th quarter in which we drove it in and squashed them like a bug with a score of 16 to 11. That is even after they where up by 4 at halftime because our goalie got a penalty and had to step off the field for 1 minute. (we got scored on 3 times for that goalie blunder).

Good News EJ got 4 Goals and a few assists (helping someone else get a goal). TJ did not score this time. he was only a little bit a quarter because we where neck and neck most of the game. WOOHOO. It was an awesome game. everyone was at the edge of their seats the WHOLE Game. :)

Well that is my sports update for the week.

Need to get to bed. Can you guess what I was doing? Bingo...studying my dang Microbiology class! AHHHHH

Game scores for today

We just got back from Lacross practice and EJ and TJ team won again 13 to 4. WOOHOO. EJ got 1 goal. He was so disappointed that he did not get more. His goal for today was 3. I have pictures but don't have time to put them up right now.

I will probably not post until wednesday because my final in Chemistry is on Tuesday and I have to study hard. Need to maintain my A you know. :) I thought my test was next friday as that is when my class day is but I guess finals for BCC are tuesday thru Thurday. I will be done after that until March 31st in which I start my Microbiology class at South Seattle CC. Yep just taking prerequisite classes anywhere that will fit into my schedule. :)

Signing out for a few days. :)

Lacrosse Game...

We had an exciting day of Lacrosse games. EJ and TJ had their 2nd game today and won 11 to 6 against Issaquah. Woohoo. EJ scored 2 goals and had 1 assis and TJ scored 1 goal. Here are some pictures from todays Lacrosse Game... James (took CJ with him) had to leave early for the 7-8 grader game that was being played up in Redmond. Don't ask me why they did not coordinate all the teams playing the same team each week especially since James in the coach for the 7-8th grade team. UGH. I am a little annoyed about that especially since the league asked James to switch teams to coach. You would think they would accommodate him so that he could be at his own sons games. He is going to try to switch the times of the games around so he can be at the boys games in the future. :)

Sea Fair Torch Light Run 5k/8k

Tami, Jen and I did the 8k back in 2006 and it was a blast. I thought I would put it out there to see if anyone is interested in running/walking it. It is on July 26th and is in downtown seattle. Here are some pictures from the race in 2006. Boy was I skinnier then. Time to get back to weight watchers for me and start training for the race. :) Click on the link to see info about it.

This was after the race. HE HE
