Genetics.... It's amazing how genetics works in determining eye color. Eye color is not just a simple Bb x BB gene pool. It's more complicated then that. Here is an interesting article over eye color...

We have 7 sets of eye colors in our home... I am the only one that does not have a shade of brown, hazel etc... Rae's eye are almost there (she is has green/with brown : Hazel)!! Figured it would be a fun post to see what eye color everyone has in this large family of mine. It's amazing from 2 molds - 5 different unique eye colors were produced. No one got my eye color! Brown really is the dominate color and I have proof. :)

Blue is a recessive (sp) trait. What color are your parents and sibling's eyes? :-)
My dad's eyes are brown/hazel- more brown, my mom's are pure brown, all my siblings have a form of brown or hazel besides me :) I am only one with my color eyes out of 9 people in my family.
Jim has the opposite... His mom has pure brown, dad- has hazel/brown, and he has a few sibling with blue or blue/green eyes and a few with brown.
