IM GOING PEDIATRICS!!! YAY!!

I can't even contain myself, I got my preceptorship spot I requested in Pediatrics.   I will be working one on one with a nurse on a pediatric unit at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital .  No instructors anymore in the clinical setting! :)
The   not so fun part of it is that I will be working a 7 am - 7 pm shift according to what my preceptor works.  I have to call today to get her schedule.   I will have to get 240 hours in to graduate which works out to be 2 12 hour shifts a week at the minimum BUT like I said I have to follow her shifts so if she works 3 12's in a row, I will be doing the same.  Maybe if I can work 3 days instead of 2 a week I will get done a little fast then the 10 weeks.   We will see.

Now it is time for the family to make plans while I finish.  I am already getting carpools set up and working schedules to accommodate me being full time again.   I see a end in site now.   I am just so excited to be in pediatrics and also to almost be done.

This week has been a very awesome week with a new car, the preceptorship I got and a surprising call into the bishops office on Tuesday to receive a calling at church.  Didn't expect the calling I was asked to do which is going to keep me extremely busy! And I am happy to serve the church and my ward in this capacity.  It's time I take a leadership role!  :)

Anyways... there not much more I can say... this weeks been awesome.   James is taking me out to celebrate this weekend.  Gotta figure out something good!. :)  Chao.

Congrats, Kari! Welcome to the team. We're fun regardless of the shift. ;)
