Childhood Journal Part 4

10/9/88

Today is sunday, we started to go to church at whipple lane instead of revorvoir ave one. We go to church at 1:30-4:30. When We got home Amy & I did our sewing, we are sewing pillows. We did this till 12:00 oclock and then at 12 pm saw some cars over at the warehouse righ across the street . We called the police because theyre are all kinds of drugers and bad people who go over there. Then the police came and made the bunch of kids to go home or go to the police station I dont know which one. Its one of them though. Then we went to bed, the day is done. Love Kari Wendt

Hello today is Monday we have a day off because it is columbus day. Today was so boring because all we did was work, WORK, WORK. Well that's my life story. HA! HA! HA!. We did pillows all day then later on we had family home evening. We watch a show from our church that my church (the church of jesus christ of latter day saints) payed to put on TV. It was called "together forever". It was so good. I cried cause it was sad too (some parts). Than we played games like hot potatoe. we had candy dish ice cream. P.s. I would just like to say even though I don have kids now that in the future I really true love them. I love you my children. (OMG how adorable was I lol)

Well I should have wrote in this journal on new years day but I forgot. Well here I am. I am 14 years old and in 9th grade. My new years resolution was to do something good for someone in the community.

The First thing I did was visit an inactive member (of church) and give her cookies. I did this with the miamaid class: jennie T., Sharlene S., Miranda H, Sister Crofford, sis. hancock. It was a good experience. school has been wonderful. My friends are great. Lets get back on the subject of New years resolution. My second thing I am going to do is write the missionarys a letter and give something like cookies or candy just to say how I appreciate them.

I really appreciate my mom for all she has done for me. I really love her although I dont show it. Well its time to say goodbye. Love kari

Today is Sunday. I finally found my scriptures. I hwas looking for them for a long time and I finally found them. I am i seminary and we are reading the new testiment. I was reading up to Matthew 22 then I lost my bible. so I stopped and today I found them. Ive already read 12 chapters. I am in Mark now. I am going to read everyday from now one. The New testimont is really interesting and I am going to writ in my journal 3 times a week, I will reallly try. My goal in school is to get all A's this marking period. This last marking period I got a:

B00hoo ----> 64% = math
72% = science
73% = Social studies
78% = English
88% = German
This is really bad so I promised my mom to get all A's (OMG was I a slacker or what lol)

I was just reading the betrayal and crucifiction of Jesus christ.

Hi well today I am sick sort of. This week is the roadshow. This friday and saturday. I guess it is coming together. Saturday the 11th I was practicing and I hurt my back. It still hurts thats another reason I am home too because I am in mega pain. It's ok. Now though. I am in the roadshow as a dancer. It's fun. Our roadshow is usually the best roadshow there but I dont know about this one. i hope it's good. I have piano then I can go to that. Julie R. from rochester 1st ward was going to come to my temple trip this year but her bishop was being a jerk about it. Here the story: We had asked her bishop and he sayd it was ok with him our bishop said that same. She asked her mother and father and they said yes. But someone in her ward found out about it and ask if she could go too. Now her bishop said no because of BECKY P. She went home crying because she is almost in our ward to us. Julie is my best friend. Love kari

Today is the first day of camp. It's been ok. At first we came in an signed in and then I went to the campsite. (church girls camp). Then we set up and then went to certification and then I went to make ceramic art. And then we went back to cap and went to fireside. And then The most funnest..we toilet paper peoples tents. ( OMG lol)

Hello today is Sunday the 24th. This day has been great. We juswt got a new teacher in miamaids clas about 3 weeks ago. She is great. Her name is B. Anderson. She is great. She came here from Utha to marry Brother anderson. Well he from Utah to. Brother Anderson is my seminary teacher. He's great to but I like her better. she has been to Israel before and europe too. She showed us a journal from europe and israel it was reallly interesting. She is so sweet, too. She has never said any unkind thing since she came here. Oh ya she has a sign in her hous that says : HEAVEN TO BETSY. I am 15 now my Birthday is _____. Almost a sweet 16. Well not almost. Well got to go bye. Love kari

Today is monday. Today has not been interesting at all except for cas everone knows school whicvh is never interesting. Biology is great. My schodule is: Biology, bio lab/gym/study hall, german 3, english, math course 2, social studies, lunch, band.

My schedul is pretty packed. This year has been great. Ive been getting all A's except for a 30% once.
Nothing happened today so I am going to a new subject.

Remember how I mention how on page 53, Julie was my best friend. Well she moved right before summer vacation. I was really sad that she really hurt me. Right before she left about 3 months she becames friends with _____ (wont put her name lol) a snotty stuck up snob and thats when our friendship stared to crumble. I gave Julie a going away party. I spend about 50 dollars on it. and when we had this surpise party of course ______ came and ruined it. I invited _____ cuz tjat was the humanly thing to do. Julie Spend 5-10 minutes with me and then stuck on to ____. That really hurt my feelings. I had spend so much money and time just for julie to have fun with _____. A week later Julie left without sayin goodbye. Of course she said goodbye to ______. I really miss julie although she treat me like a piece of fj%^&%& crap.

I will always remember julie but I wont remember what she put me through. Well have to go bye.

PS Oh ya guess what? I have a boyfriend more about him in later pages. I love BOB.

PSS I love my mom and dad very much.
