Another 5-1 win over University Place

The team pulled out another tough win against University Place and our goalie had 17 saves to keep them to a single goal.  It was a close game until the 3rd quarter when we pulled away and put several more goals on the board.  No video or pictures yet, if a parent has them I’ll post them.

This brings us to 9-0 in the league and cements our status as champs.  We have one final game this next Thursday against Gig Harbor and we may finish undefeated in league play.

The final tournament of the year takes place in Bothell and draws tournament teams from as far away as Vancouver, BC and Portland, OR.  Those teams are especially difficult to defeat due to their ability to draw players from all teams in their respective leagues.

Overall, we look good and have beat our middle school team in scrimmages.  When we lose to them, we usually are within a few goals and it has really helped elevate our game this past season.  The Honor game for grades 5/6 is on the 30th and hopefully we’ll send two players to represent our league vs other leagues in the greater Seattle area.
