Good and the Bad

First off, I got my my decline letter from TCC.  The nice thing about TCC is they actually are objective about why I did not get in.  My GPA for all their prerequisites is a 3.6 without the English class I just finished.   They accept applicants with a 3.953 GPA or above for this Fall.  Yep you heard me right.   I never had a chance.   :)   I am not to bummed about it because:

I interviewed for a Certified Nursing position at Enumclaw Hospital on Wednesday and they hired me yesterday.  YAH.   I will be working in the acute care area of the hospital  2 days a week.   This is really good because now I will have experience to put on some of these essays for the schools around here.  Also I will see if I truly like Nursing (I am starting to question if this is the field for me when I get declined from 3 nursing schools).   Plus they are paying good and a little extra money to put on some bills is always nice.   

So overall I am ok with not getting accepted to TCC.  I am assuming it just is not my time for Nursing school.  I am not going to stress about it anymore.   Thinking about it rationally it is probably better I did not get in this fall anyways because now I can spend time with the kids especially AJ since it is his last year before he goes to school.  :)   I guess, there are other plans in the works from the guy above.  :)   

On another good note, I took my final in Organic Chemistry yesterday.   I most likely have a 3.8 or 3.9 in the class (they do it GPA and not grades at Pierce. Kind of weird if you ask me).   I had to get a 96% (first class ever taken requiring such a high grade to get an A) in the class to get a 4.0 and needed to get a 95% on my final to maintain my 4.0.  Not sure that I got a 95% or not.   We will see in the next few days.  To be honest, with all the classes I took this summer I am dang happy with anything in the A range.   :)   I did get a 4.0 in English.   :)  YAH.   

Time to go SHOPPING today for some scrubs.  :)  I always LOVE shopping.  Ask my "shopping hating" husband.  HEHE
