Seattle 1/2 Marathon in November.

homer_running

It time to stop being a homer and get a 1/2 marathon under my belt.   My hip is feeling a little better now and so  I am going to start training for the Seattle 1/2 Marathon on Monday.   I was going to do a race down in Utah, but that race is in September.  I really think 2 months is WAY to soon for me to push a 1/2 marathon especially with how long it took my hip to heal from running some 8 milers.  So the Seattle marathon it is!   Anyone want to train with me?   I found a good training schedule online that is a 12 week program.  I will be adding another 4 weeks onto the schedule so I do not hurt my hip again and I get off some of this unwanted pounds again.

Check out the schedule:

In the schedule they want to you to run a 5k and 10k so I plan on doing that too.   Time for some goal setting.

Anyone want to come join me up in Seattle to run this race.  I do still plan on running a race in spring down in Utah for sure.  :)

Sounds like fun. I am still trying to run a few time every week. I printed out that running schedule. I am going to try it. So by the end of sept we should be ready for the race.....:)

You go, girl! I just got my Runner's World mag for this month and it had a whole section on a half marathon challenge. It was pretty cool. Get on their site and check it out! They also had training schedules and stuff. Good luck!
