Writing my nursing application essays is harder than I thought it was going to be. I have 3 essays I have to write for the Nursing application at pierce college and they are just kicking my butt right now. I wrote my first one which required me to answer what factors contributed to me wanting to pursue a nursing degree. Well I can't really tell them my PB tell me too, can I. :) That one was a tough one but I was able to think of things. This other essay is "why do I think I would be a good fit for their program and in turn why I feel it would be a good fit for me". This one has been a hard one. What can I write that will differentiate me from the 100 other applications on why they should pick me. I really don't know that answer. I can't say to them what I am thinking that I could care less which nursing school I get into I just want to get into one of them. I am sure they would not understand a care less attitude. :) At this point I wish I had paid attention in English long enough to know how to write a awesome essay. Sigh... If anyone has any suggestions on why I would be a good fit over the 100 other students applying let me know. These essays are a huge determining factor in if I get in or not. The nursing advisor told me they take off points for everything wrong with an essay. I need an English teacher right now AHHHHH.

Not sure if you know Melanie Broadbent, she's in the Crestwood ward now, but she is/was an English Teacher.
The link to her blog is on my blog, I bet she wouldn't mind helping you out.
you go girl, you have made it farther than i ever would. English and grammer, i can't even do my kids homework. Thanks for aus scripts.
I do all right in the English department. I would be happy to read through something for you.
Tell them that since you are older than most of the other applicants, AND a mother...you will be much more serious and dedicated than the those others who are younger/non experienced with kid's scrapes & illnesses!
