I thought I would start a new trend for my blog and do a monthly recap of all the stuff that went on in that month. I figure I will just post it the last day of each month. Here goes....
- First and foremost, James and I anniversary was this month. It has been 14 yrs. WOOHOO. I have known James for 15 yrs.
- Started out rough. I got my decline letter for PLU. :( I am over it now.
- EJ and TJ finished up their last 2 weeks of lacrosse to a 9 wins, 1 lose season. Good Job Boys! EJ finished with 21 goals and 3 assists, 29 ground balls for the season. TJ finished w/ 4 goals, 3 assists, 16 ground balls. End of year banquet was today.
- AJ was really sick for a few days
- James recovered from Meniscus surgery the whole month.
- I got a new calling.... Stake Newsletter editor
- Had some mad bad xbox family nights
- Went to the movie twice and saw "Narnia" and "Ironman"
- Went to Flight Museum, which the boys thought was SOOO boring. :) Grandma and Grandpa V. went with us. I think I have spoiled my kids to much. I would have been grateful to do something like that with my family as a kid. My family did not have to microsoft prime card for the cheap entrance fees. :)
- Went on a Memorial day picnic to Nolte State park (deep Lake) w/ Grandma and Grandpa V.
- Had a few days of 90 degree weather around the middle of the month. Not that it was long lived but nice!
- Got the 4 wheeler and pw50 dirt bike working only to have the 4 wheeler conk out on us again.
- Mowed the lawn umteen times. Let just say that our yard is not the most easiest yard to mow anymore. HEHE
- My flowers and bushes in my yard all bloomed this month. Very Beautiful!
- American Idol was a total set up and David Cook won. Ok so talking about AI is important don't you know. :)
- Realized I lived in Redneck land when I saw a sign that said "Lost Goat"
- Studied excessively all month long. It sucked!
- Got a 94 and 92 on my unit test for Microbiology. Found out today I have a 96% average w/ only 1 week left of class. Yah
- Got a new flat top build in stove because 2 of my burners went on the stove that came with the house. It still is not installed! We are planning on putting new granite countertops in this house and then putting the new stove in at same time.
- Ordered my transcripts to be sent to me to be placed in a Nursing application. So that is not very eventful, but what happened next just erks me. 3 days ago, my transcripts were overnighted so I could get it fast and the Fedex guy left it on my front step. Well later in the day I notice a torn up package in my front garden, went over to find it was the fedex envelope and the Dogs had chewed it up. Ok that was 20 bucks down the drain.
- My male dog, Titan, killed a hen yesterday... I am so mad. Why not a rooster. I was just going to butcher the roosters (we got 3 from our chicks we bought) next month anyway's. He killed one of the hens that lay large eggs. When I saw him with the chicken in his mouth all I had to do was give him a look and he knew he was in trouble. He dropped that chicken so fast and took off.
- EJ, TJ and some of the neighbor boys made dirt bike trails all over our woods. EJ took the tractor out and basically plowed down paths.
- Price of gas reached 4.00/gallon. I even put some in today up in seattle for $4.09/gallon. They say it going to be around 6.00/gallon by end of summer.
- Tonight is movie/game/family night so I think we are either going to see another movie quit possibility the drive-in or just hanging out in our oasis.
- Bought a 90 4 wheeler for the kids today. They have been begging for one since we moved here.
- This is my 80th post since we got back from the cruise. A milestone.
That is pretty much it. If I think of more I will just add to this post. :) June here we come!
