Love E. Schools

Can I say I love E. school District. They have such amazing programs. Don't mean to glot. :)

When we first started in the district back in October immediately EJ had a 6th grade campout for a whole week. What an experience for him. They had parents night where the parent came up to watch skits of all the kids. We where in Europe at the time so Grandma and Grandpa V. drove down to his camp to watch the skits, actually they drove him down to camp the very first day also, so thank you Grandma and Grandpa. I wish I had given EJ a digital camera so he could take Pictures so I had those memories of him. (HUM...maybe for his bday :) )

Back in Nov/Dec, Rae had free swim lessons offered through the school for all 2nd and 3rd graders. She went for 4 week straight with lessons twice a week. Free swim lessons what is that? HE. At the Covington pools it was an arm and a leg just to put your kids in swimming lessons. :) Can I say Awesome school district.

This year they offered Ski club (4th grade and above) and Drama Club (even performed plays) for all ages.

CJ was a behind when he start in the school and immediately they got him help without all the politics involved with that process. He was at a prek level (can you believe that! He was in full day Kindergarten last year in which I paid 225 bucks a month for and was still at only Prek level) when he started 1st grade and now is at an almost 1st grade level thanks to the school and a little me of course. :)

Yesterday TJ went on a 5th grade Ski/Snowboarding trip up to Crystal Mountain in which all of the 5th graders from the whole district got to go for FREE including chaperones. I don't know if Crystal let them in for free or if the school paid for it but it was free. Free I am all about that! Then Today TJ went to the childrens theatre on a field trip. Mind you he has already been on one earlier this year.
In May CJ is going on the boating trip in the Puget Sound with all the 1st graders in the school. Can you believe that. It is so cool that CJ while be doing that. Is that cool or what!

EJ has always been a smartie. Having said that he was also just doing what he need to just to get by at the old school. At his new school he has a A- or above in all his classes. He's a big boy now in middle school, he was just a little bored being in elementary school at our other district (6th grade was still part of the elementary school). TJ an Rae are doing awesome too in school. I am proud of all 4.

I got a letter home 3 weeks ago about a string (orchestra) program at one of the elementary schools. I heard from some people in our ward that it is a great program and the kids learn to play violin as part of the curriculum. I am going to look into it for CJ and Rae as TJ will be joining EJ at the middle school next year. How cool is that. (ok I will have to admit that 15 years back I would have thought I was nerdy for saying that. HE)

Not to overlook the teachers. They are great too. Overall we are really happy with the school. We love it in our little town of E.
