Ok so why do I have a picture of my chemistry book up on my blog. Well first to say that I found it! woohoo! I studied until 12:30 am last night. I did not find the book until yesterday. The women at the place I left it said "I bet this is the first time you are happy to see this book." Come to think of it, I absolutely love taking the Chemistry class. I don't know if it because it is all mine, it's no one elses or if I really do love chemistry. I actually enjoy doing the homework, labs, test (can you believe I said tests). I think it is a combination of me both loving it and that its all my own. I am loving the fact that I am exceling in it too. I remember back when I was 18 and going to school and how I did not care a single bit about what grade I got. Of course I was mad when I got the "C" but did not want to take the time out of my busy social life to get that "A". Now 15 yrs later, I strive to get that "A" and the "C" is not good enough for me. How times have changed.
What do I love about chemistry? What is there to like? Well I love figuring out the equations. I love learning about atoms, and molecules. I love drawing out the structure of a compound for example:
CO2 ( o=c=o )
Ok so call me crazy for loving Chemistry. I think I am just loving being in school in general. I am taking this Chemistry class for a prerequisite for a RN Program. I still have to take Organic Chem. next term, and then Microbiology in summer. Fun FUN Fun.
I did apply to a few Registered Nursing program for fall: Pacific Lutheran, Pierce College, Highline, and Tacoma. Hopefully I will get into one of them. I will keep you up to date.
Well Have a good day y'all.
Kari

I love chemistry, too. I guess if we are crazy, we are better off being crazy together, eh? I just loved how everything always came out just right with everything balanced on each side of the equation. So nice and orderly! Now if my house was that orderly, I'd be a happy woman! :)
That's exciting Kari! I love chemistry too! (hence, the pharmacy degree....ha ha). I remember telling my Chem teacher in High School that it was useless, pointless and I'd never use it. I had to eat those words!
:)
I can't say I've ever loved chemistry (or understood it very well), but I can relate to the whole trying-harder-when-you're-older thing. Good luck with your nursing program apps. That's really exciting!
kari! i didn't know you were going to school! good for you... i hated chemistry... loved math, but for some reason just didn't enjoy chemistry so i salute you!
my kids are grown up? i can't believe how grown up your kids are!? it's crazy! they're adorable!
